Joint Committee

The TAP Joint Committee is the governing board for the TAP and includes representatives from each of the Project Committees. These committees are empowered to work with the IRS to obtain information, provide observations, and submit recommendations on issues relevant to their committee’s focus area. Members represent diverse experiences, training, backgrounds and interests.

Our focus

The TAP Joint Committee is comprised of the National TAP Chair, Vice-Chair, and Chairs of the other TAP committees. The purpose of the Joint Committee is to act on behalf of TAP members to advance the TAP’s mission; to listen to taxpayers, and make recommendations to improve the IRS.
