The Internal Revenue Service and the Taxpayer Advocate Service is experiencing delays and interruptions in working cases due to widespread IRS operation closures. These closures are also causing a high call volume resulting in delays in response times. We ask for your patience during this time.

These are the only and best ways to get answers as the IRS phone lines are not staffed at this time and all the IRS Campuses are closed in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The temporary closure of IRS facilities, in accordance with state and local orders, is playing an important role in stopping community spread COVID-19 among federal employees, families, friends and communities.
