The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) recently participated in the 2023 IRS Nationwide Tax Forum in Orlando. TAP Members Michelle Brookens and Rick Rodriguez met with tax professionals and listened to their issues, recommendations, and suggestions for improving IRS customer service and tax administration.

During this in-person outreach, TAP members were able to share information about the TAP mission, explain member roles, provide details on the current issues TAP is working on, and emphasize the impact of TAP to potential new members.

TAP Members Brookens and Rodriguez were happy to welcome Todd Harbor, IRS Director Field Assistance, who stopped by their “listening post” to thank TAP members for their volunteerism and to offer his support for TAP’s efforts to improve the IRS.
