Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) member Fritz-Gerald Delice recently participated in a successful outreach event at Good Samaritan Haitian Alliance Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
During that consequential meeting, a solid and informative presentation was made to the attendees about TAP, its vision, and its mission to serve as the voice between the IRS and taxpayers by making recommendations to improve IRS processes and customer service. Fritz-Gerald Delice also explained the role of TAP members and gave an overview of some of the issues TAP is currently working on.
The audience was engaged in the session, asking many questions, many in which were focused on IRS customer service on its telephone lines. Fritz-Gerald Delice was able to take in the issues raised and assured the participants that TAP members have identified phone service as a top priority and that they are tirelessly working to bridge the gap that exists between the IRS and Taxpayers on this issue.
The outreach was not only well received but it was also reassuring for those in attendance to learn that they have a group like TAP working on their behalf to ensure their concerns had been heard.
