TAP releases its 2021 Annual Report

TAP releases its 2021 Annual Report.  The six core Project Committees submitted 52 Referrals to the IRS for consideration during the 2021 TAP year. These 52 Referrals contained 193 recommendations to the IRS.

The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) is a Federal Advisory Committee consisting of citizen volunteers from across the nation. We are a diverse group of ordinary citizens from around the country and internationally who possess a sense of civic duty, patriotism, and belief in an effective and well-regarded taxation system. As TAP members, we volunteer our time and energy to improve IRS services and taxpayer satisfaction.

The TAP members are excited to introduce our redesigned 2021 TAP Annual Report. As you read the report you will notice many elements have been updated to present a more contemporary look. Our project committees reviewed the issues and developed recommendations for IRS consideration

The report summarizes our key accomplishments and activities, including the recommendations submitted to the IRS in 2021. You can submit your comments by clicking on found on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel website ImproveIRS.org, or by phone at (888) 912-1227 or by writing to the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, 1111 Constitution Ave. N.W., Room 1509, Washington, D.C. 20224.
