The Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) is dedicated to helping improve IRS customer service for all taxpayers. Each TAP committee holds monthly virtual meetings on various IRS issues impacting you and other taxpayers. TAP wants to hear your suggestions for bettering IRS processes and customer service. TAP members serve as listening posts, gathering input from taxpayers on IRS issues, public attendance at TAP meetings is welcome. No matter your background, the TAP wants to hear from you – no tax experience necessary.

The TAP Joint Committee meetings are open to the public and announced in advance in the Federal Register. Below is a complete schedule of all upcoming TAP meetings. If you have questions about or would like to attend one of our TAP meetings virtually via Microsoft Teams or would like to be provided with the dial in by phone information, please email us at, taxpayer.advocacy.panel@irs.gov. In your message, please include the name of the meeting you’d like to attend.
