TAP Promotes Taxpayer Rights at Outreach Event in Scotland

On Sunday, August 20, Rebecca Lammers, the International Member of the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP), organized an outreach event in Edinburgh, Scotland, during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The event was primarily attended by U.S. citizens living in Scotland. Attendees received information about TAP, the Taxpayer Advocate Service, and were informed of their rights by receiving a copy of the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. The event was also a time to get feedback from the group about how to improve IRS customer service and provided those in attendance the chance to ask questions.

Grassroots outreach, like this event, is one way TAP learns about IRS issues that are impacting taxpayers – including those who live abroad. You can share your suggestions for improving the IRS or submit an issue anytime through by accessing our submit-a-suggestion page.
