TAP remembers Robert “Bob” Moretti, a great man and leader

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a great leader and friend Bob Moretti.

Bob spent three full years actively working with the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP) where he served as the 2021 TAP chair, 2019 TAP Vice Chair, and as the Montana representative from 2019-2021. During his time in TAP, he supported the completion of many initiatives spearheaded by the Special Projects Committee and served as the Chair for the Outreach and Internal Communications Committee.

Bob is best known for reaching out to new members and mentoring them. He would call each new member to explain the TAP process and guide them through what to expect in the coming years.

Surrounded by his family, Bob passed away on Friday, July 29, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Bob had two children and two grandchildren and lived a full life in Montana with his wife, Muriel. He was a strong believer in education and was an extraordinary volunteer. Even in this time of passing, he requested that his body be donated to the Montana State University Medical Educational Program in Bozeman, Montana.

Bob’s leadership, kindness, and passion for TAP will not be forgotten. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
