Architecture or Structure of the EITC Web Pages

Statement of Issue:

The Committee was asked to make recommendations about the structure of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) website needs to make it more accessible to taxpayers and tax preparers.

Proposal:

The Committee recommended the website limit sharply the number of links on any given page to five and provide a branching navigational plan that allows the user to locate the specific information that he/she needs. Users are better able to work their way through such a hierarchy than to find the information they need from a display of 90 links.
