This completes all face-to-face meetings for Area and Issue Committees.

• Area and Issue Committee monthly report for 4/2008 issued (by Marisa Knispel). See separate handout.

• An “almost final” agenda is available for the Joint Committee Face-to-Face meeting, 6/19 – 21. See separate handout for further details. Committee chairs are requested to prepare written summary of committee work covering period January – May, 2008. Please use the monthly progress report template. No separate report will be requested for the month of May. Please send your report to Patti Robb one week prior to our June meeting. Copies of the combined report will then be prepared for our June meeting. Also, send copies of other handouts to be duplicated to Patti Robb.

• The list of active TAP Issues report has been updated (by Louis Morizio).  Area and Issue Committee Chairs are requested to review the current report and update it for new active issues. See also my separate email on this topic.

• TAP has been requested to participate on a panel entitled “Closing the Tax Gap” on June 11 sponsored by the IRS Executives Network. Ben Chapman will represent TAP.

• Work on the 2007 Annual Report appears close to completion.

• The second Joint Chair Committee meeting will take place Oct 2 – 4. Location TBD.

• The TAP Annual Meeting will take place Dec 1 – 5.

• “Meet you in St Louis”!
