• Area and Issue Committee monthly report for 3/2008 issued (by Marisa Knispel). See separate handout.

• An “almost final” agenda is available for the Joint Committee Face-to-Face meeting, 6/19 – 21. See separate handout for further details. Committee chairs are requested to prepare written summary of committee work covering period January – May, 2008. Please use the monthly progress report template. No separate report will be requested for the month of May. Please send your report to Marisa Knispel prior to our June meeting. Copies of the combined report will then be prepared for our June meeting.

• The list of active TAP Issues report will be updated in May (by Louis Morizio/Audrey Jenkins). Area and Issue Committee Chairs are requested to review the current report, dated March 24, 2008, and update it for new active issues. Also, please establish a completion target date for each active issue.

• Mark Pursley, IRS Director TSPMO, has requested TAP input on their work to update the IRS Strategic Plan. Ben Chapman, Dale Cooper, Hank Mosler, Rick Rousseau, and Wayne Whitehead will participate in a phone call on May 8 to provide input to the plan.

• Work on the 2007 Annual Report appears close to completion.
