Wage and Investment Division manages all tax processing and toll-free customer service for all individual and business taxpayers as well as providing compliance and face-to-face assistance services. Currently, qualified taxpayers, having all the necessary information to file a return, are given an appointment to return to the TAC to get their return prepared. This process often poses several problems for the customer, the TAC employee and the IRS. The Committee has been asked to examine the current return preparation appointment process and make recommendations for improvement.
